Events at the state border and within the country - January 14, 2018

On Sunday the 14th of January, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 36 offenders at external borders and within the country.

19 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 3 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states and the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country. The persons were returned to the exit countries.At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia and 1 citizen of Kazakhstan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 9 persons - 7 citizens of Lithuania and 2 - of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 8 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Lithuania, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of Latvia, 1 - of Kazakhstan and 1 - of Belarus.
