Events at the state border and within the country - January 17, 2018

On Wednesdays the 17th of January, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 28 offenders at external borders and within the country.

14 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The person was returned to the exit country.At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia and 1 citizen of Georgia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visas or residence permits, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 4 persons - 3 citizens of Russia and 1 - of Uzbekistan.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 10 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 6 citizens of Latvia, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of Estonia, 1 - of Serbia and 1 - of Belaru
