On Friday the 17th of January, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 34 offenders at external borders and within the country.

18 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 foreigner with forged documents was detected

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine (woman), entered Latvia with forged Schengen visa, was detected. The person was subject to administrative liability.

1 foreigner was refused entry into Latvia

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Moldova was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and he was not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The person was returned to the exit country.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 6 foreigners

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia, 2 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Moldova and 2 - of Georgia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Moldova, 1 - of Georgia and 1 - of Ukraine was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 minor citizen of Latvia, who was not in possession of the second parent's agreement for children independent travelling outside Latvia, was detected. The person was refused exit from the country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 6 persons - 2 citizens of India, 2 - of Estonia, 1 - of Uzbekistan and 1 - of Lithuania.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 10 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Belarus, 2 - of Latvia, 2 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Morocco.
