On Saturday the 18th of January, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 39 offenders at external borders and within the country.

30 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 foreigner with forged documents was detected

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Tajikistan, leaving Latvia by car, with forged Tajikistan driving licence, was detected. Criminal procedure was initiated for the use of forged documents. The forged document was seized.

7 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Silene Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus (woman) was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid travel document. While at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 5 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states; as well as 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner has already resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 8 foreigners

At the Terehova and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 5 citizens of Russia, 1 - of Uzbekistan, 1 - of Kirgizstan and 1 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Kirgizstan and 1 - of Ukraine was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 9 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Latvia, 3 - of Belarus, 2 - of Russia and 1 - of Ukraine.
