On Saturday the 19th of January, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 27 offenders at external borders and within the country.
15 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
1 citizen of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detainedAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, leaving Riga for Doncaster, who is on the police wanted list was detected. The man, born in 1999, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.
7 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 5 citizens of Ukraine and 1 citizen of Georgia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states; and 1 citizen of Georgia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 1 foreignerAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Tajikistan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), was detected. The person was subject to administrative liability.
1 citizen of Denmark was refused exit from the countryAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Denmark, who was not in possession of valid travel document, was detected. The person was refused exit from the country.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 6 persons - 3 citizen of Lithuania, 2 - of Estonia and 1 stateless person of Estonia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 6 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 2 citizens of Latvia, 1 - of Poland, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of Belarus and 1 - of Estonia.
