On Sunday the 19th of January, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 37 offenders at external borders and within the country.
21 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
2 foreigners with forged documents were detectedAt the Terehova Border Control Point 2 citizens of Russia, leaving Latvia with forged Belarusian Vehicle Registration Certificate, were detected. Criminal procedure was initiated for the use of forged documents. The forged document was seized. The persons were placed in a State Police short-term detention facility.
1 citizen of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detainedAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia entering Latvia, who is on the Police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1982, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.
At the P'aternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and he was not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The person was returned to the exit country.
1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the countryAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia (woman), whose passport was not valid for travelling outside Latvia, was detected. The person was refused exit from the country.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 8 persons - 3 citizens of Tajikistan, 2 - of Russia, 2 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Estonia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 8 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 2 citizens of Latvia, 2 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Poland, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Belarus and 1 - of Kirgizstan.
