On Sunday the 20th of January, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 28 offenders at external borders and within the country.

16 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

2 citizens of Latvia, who are on the police wanted list, were detained

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 citizens of Latvia, entered from Lids, who are on the police wanted list were detected. The men, born in 1983 and 1986, were detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

7 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Moldova was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the Silene Border Control Point 6 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 2 foreigners

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Georgia and 1 - of India, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 6 persons - 4 citizens of Estonia and 2 - of Lithuania.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 6 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 2 citizens of Russia, 1 - of Latvia, 1 - of Uzbekistan, 1 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Estonia.
