On Monday the 21st of January, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 28 offenders at external borders and within the country.
8 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
8 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the "Riga" Airport and the Pāternieki Border Control Points 2 citizens of Georgia and 4 - of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. At the Grebņeva Border Control Point 1 citizen of Israel was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period. While at the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Moldova was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 6 foreignersAt the Terehova, the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 4 citizens of Russia, 1 - of Belarus and 1 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 2 citizen of Russia was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 2 persons - 1 citizen of Estonia and 1 - of Belarus.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 8 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Latvia, 2 - of Belarus and 1 - of Russia.
