On Tuesday the 22nd of January, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 40 offenders at external borders and within the country.

15 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

5 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid travel document; 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Ukraine and 2 - of Georgia were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 2 foreigners

At the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Belarus and 1 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by the citizen of Ukraine and the citizen of Russia was not commenced.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 14 persons - 6 citizen of Russia, 4 - of Lithuania, 3 - of Latvia and 1 - of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 11 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Lithuania, 2 - of Ukraine, 2 - of Latvia, 2 - of Belarus, 1 - of Russia and 1 - of Serbia.
