On Thursday the 25th of January, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 28 offenders at external borders and within the country.
13 trespassers were detected at external borders. At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 5 citizens of Ukrain were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and foreigners were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the countries of exit.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 8 persons - 4 citizens of Lithuania, 2 - of Ukrain, 1 - of Georgia and 1 - of Moldava.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 7 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Estonia, 1 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Ukrain.
