On Saturday the 25th of January, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 30 offenders at external borders and within the country.

16 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

2 foreigners with forged documents were detected

At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine, leaving Latvia by truck with trailer, with forged Ukrainian Driving Licence was detected. Criminal procedure was initiated for the use of forged documents. The forged document was seized within the framework of the criminal procedure. The person was placed in a State Police short-term detention facility. While at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Iran, entered Latvia, with forged French citizen's passport was detected. The person was subject to administrative liability. The forged document was seized.

3 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 citizens of Georgia and 1 - of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners have a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 2 foreigners

At the Terehova and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Tajikistan and 1 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Ukraine was not commenced, the citizen of Tajikistan was subject to administrative liability.

2 persons were refused exit from the country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Lithuania (woman) and 1 - of Latvia (woman), who were not in possession of valid travel document, were detected. The persons were refused exit from the country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 4 persons - 3 citizens of Estonia and 1 - of Lithuania.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 10 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Belarus, 2 - of Ukraine, 2 - of Russia, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Estonia and 1 - of Latvia.
