On Tuesday the 28th of January, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 34 offenders at external borders and within the country.

15 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

5 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the "Riga" Airport and the Pāternieki Border Control Points 1 citizen of Great Britain was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid travel document; 1 - citizen of Georgia and 2 - of Ukraine were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. While at the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 5 foreigners

At the Terehova and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Belarus, 1 - of Tajikistan, 1 - of Ukraine and 2 - of Uzbekistan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 10 persons - 7 citizens of Russia, 1 - of Latvia, 1 - of Estonia and 1 - of Lithuania.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 9 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 6 citizen of Belarus, 1 - of Latvia, 1 - of Ghana and 1 - of Estonia.
