On Monday the 29th of January, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 27 offenders at external borders and within the country.
8 trespassers were detected at external borders, including at the Silene and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Belarus and 1 citizen of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visas or residence permits, as well as 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period. The persons were returned to the countries of exit.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 7 persons - 3 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Estonia and 1 of Georgia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 12 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Russia, 3 - of Estonia, 2 - of Latvia, 2 - of Belarus, 1 - of Germany and 1- of the Netherlands.
