On Thursday the 31st of January, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 29 offenders at external borders and within the country.
17 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
2 persons with forged documents were detectedAt the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus with forged driving license was detected. Criminal proceedings were initiated for the use of forged documents. Within the framework of the criminal proceedings the forged driving license was seized. While at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia with a forged border crossing stamping in her passport, was detected. The person was subject to administrative liability and was returned to the exit country.
4 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 4 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit country.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 1 foreignerAt the Grebņeva Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit), was detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by the citizen of Belarus was not commenced.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 7 persons - 3 citizens of Moldova, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of Latvia, 1 - of Estonia and 1 - of Lithuania.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 5 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 2 citizens of Lithuania, 1 - of Moldova, 1 - of Serbia and 1 - of Ukraine.
