On Tuesday the 5th of January, 2021 the State Border Guard's officials detected 17 offenders at external borders and within the country.

At the Grebneva Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner violated Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 360 "Epidemiological precautions to control the spread of Covid - 19 infection". The person was returned to the
- Violations of resident conditions were detected to 2 foreigners
At the Grebneva Border Control Points 2 citizens of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 8 persons – 3 citizens of Lithuania, 2 – of Rumania, 1 – of Belarus, 1 – of Moldova and 1 – of Russia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 3 persons were subjected to administrative liability or was refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard – 1 citizen of Lithuania, 1 – of Belarus and 1 – of Russia.
