Events at the state border and within the country - July 01, 2020

On Wednesday the 1st of July, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 37 offenders at external borders and within the country.

18 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

3 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the Silene and the Pāternieki Border Control Points 1 citizen of Belarus and 1 - of Russia were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country. The persons were returned to the exit country.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 9 foreigners

At the Terehova, Grebņeva, Silene, Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 5 citizens of Russia, 1 - of Ukraine, 2 - of Belarus and 1 - of Israel, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa free regime), were detected. Administrative sanction was not imposed.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 8 citizens of Uzbekistan.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 11 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Belarus, 4 - of Russia, 2 - of Ukraine and 1 - of Latvia.
