Events at the state border and within the country - July 02, 2020

On Thursday the 2nd of July, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 69 offenders at external borders and within the country.

55 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

3 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Uzbekistan was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the Silene and the Pāternieki Border Control Points 2 citizens of Belarus were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 48 foreigners

At the Silene and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 40 citizens of Uzbekistan, 5 - of Ukraine, 2 - of Belarus and 1 - of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa free regime), were detected. Administrative sanction was not imposed on 30 citizens of Uzbekistan, 5 - of Ukraine, 2 - of Belarus and 1 - of Russia, 10 citizens of Uzbekistan were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 6 persons - 4 citizens of Estonia, 1 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Uzbekistan.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 8 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Estonia, 2 - of Belarus, 1 - of Germany, 1 - of Russia and 1 - of Uzbekistan.
