On Friday the 6th of July, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 74 offenders at external borders and within the country.
29 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
• 2 citizens of Latvia, who are on the police wanted list, were detained
At the Terehova and the Pāternieki Border Control Points 1 man, born in 1981, and 1 woman, born in 1986, both are citizens of Latvia, who are on the police wanted list, were detected. The persons were detained and handed over to the State Police officers.
• 10 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia
At the Geneva, the Terehova and the Pāternieki Border Control Points 6 citizens of Egypt and 3 citizens of Russia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit and 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and he was not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
• Violations of resident conditions were detected to 2 foreigners
At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 citizens of Uzbekistan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. One citizen of Uzbekistan was subject to administrative liability, while a record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by the second one was not commenced, as the violation was trivial in nature.
• 1 Latvian citizen was refused exit from Latvia
At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, who intended to leave Riga for Dublin with not valid travel document, was detected. The man, born in 1958, was refused exit from Latvia.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 20 persons - 12 citizens of Ukraine, 4 - of Russia, 2 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Estonia and 1 - of Latvia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 25 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 10 citizens of Russia, 5 - of Belarus, 4 - of Lithuania, 3 - of Estonia, 2 - of Latvia and 1 - of Ukraine.
