Events at the state border and within the country - July 06, 2020

On Monday the 6th of July, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 18 offenders at external borders and within the country.

10 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 foreigner was refused entry into Latvia

At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country. The person was returned to the exit country.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 6 foreigners

At the Pededze and the Silene Border Control Points 3 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Ukraine and 1 - of Belarus, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa free regime), were detected. Administrative sanction was not imposed.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 3 persons - 1 citizen Latvia, 1 - of Estonia and 1 - of India.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 5 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 2 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Belarus and 1 - of Estonia.
