Events at the state border and within the country - July 07, 2020

On Tuesday the 7th of July, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 19 offenders at external borders and within the country.

11 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 citizen of Lithuania, who is on the police wanted list, was detained

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Lithuania, entered the country from London, who is on the Police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1997, was detained and handed over to the State Police Officers.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 6 foreigners

At the Grebņeva the Terehova and the Silene Border Control Points 3 citizens of Russia, 1 - of Kirgizstan and 2 - of Belarus, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Administrative sanction was not imposed.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 3 persons - 1 citizen of Latvia, 1 - of Estonia and 1 - of Lithuania.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 5 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Latvia, 1 - of Belarus and 1 - of Estonia.
