On Wednesday the 8th of July, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 17 offenders at external borders and within the country.

16 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 foreigner was refused entry into Latvia

At the Grebņeva Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. The person was returned to the exit country.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 12 foreigners

At the Terehova, the Grebņeva and the Silene Border Control Points 9 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Belarus and 1 - of Uzbekistan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The citizen of Belarus was subject to administrative liability, administrative sanction was not imposed on other persons.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 1 citizen of Belarus was held administratively liable by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia.
