On Tuesday the 10th of July, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 44 offenders at external borders and within the country.
19 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
• 2 citizens of Nigeria with forged documents were detected
At the Terehova Border Control Point 2 citizens of Nigeria, who using forged Schengen visas illegally attempted to enter Latvia, were detained. The visas were made ineligible for use, both persons were subject to administrative liability and were returned to the exit country.
• 9 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia
At the Grebņeva, Indra and Pāternieki Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia (female) was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit as well as 1 citizen of Japan -as the foreigner was not in possession of compulsory health insurance police, 6 citizen of Ukraine - as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country as well as they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. While at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Georgia (female) was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
• Violations of resident conditions were detected to 1 foreigner
At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (was not in passion of valid travel document), was detected. The man was subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 10 persons - 4 citizen of Estonia, 2 - of Russia, 2 of Lithuania and 2 - of Ukraine.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 15 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Latvia, 5 - of Belarus, 2 - of Russia, 2 - of Ukraine and 1 - of German.
