Events at the state border and within the country - July 11, 2020

On Saturday the 11th of July, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 31 offenders at external borders and within the country.

14 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner did not possess a valid travel document. The person was returned to the exit country.

At the Terehova and the Silene Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia and 4 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa- free regime), were detected. Administrative sanction was not imposed on the 1 citizen of Russia and 3 - of Ukraine, 1 citizen of Ukraine was subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 6 persons - 5 citizens of Lithuania and 1 - of Ukraine.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 11 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Latvia, 3 - of Russia, 3 - of Belarus, 1 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Estonia.
