On Thursday, 12 July, officials of the State Border Guard at the external borders and within the country detected 61 offender.
At the external borders 31 offender was detected, including:
Entry into Latvia was denied to 5 foreigners
Entrance to Latvia via the Border Control Point of Terehova was barred to 1 Nigerian national as he didn't have valid visa or residence permit , while at the Border Control Points of Pāternieki and "Riga" airport the entrance to Latvia was barred to 3 Ukrainian citizens and one citizen of Serbia as they could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry and stay, as well as did not have enough livelihoods for visiting Schengen countries. Persons returned to the countries of departure.
At the Border Control Point of "Riga" airport 3 citizens of Russia, 1 of Ukraine and 1 of India were detected having violated stay regulations in the territory of the Schengen area (exceeded visa period of stay, did not have valid visa or residence permit in their possession). Ukrainian citizen and 1 Russian citizen were subjected to administrative liability, meanwhile the record keeping of the administrative offenses of other persons due to the insignificance of the violation, was not initiated.
Immigration control measures inside the country, violations of entry or stay regulations were detected to 7 persons - 4 Lithuanian, 1 Estonian, 1 Ukrainian and 1 Polish citizen.
Within the framework of vehicles and vessels operation, the State Border Guard officials detected offenses committed by 23 persons - 10 Russian, 2 Belarussian, 4 Latvian, 1 Italian, 1 Serbian, 1 Azerbaijan, 1 Lithuanian, 1 USA , 2 Estonian citizens.
