On Thursday, 25 July State Border Guard officials at the external border within the country detected 42 offenders.
At the external border 21 offenders were detected, including:
• Detained one citizen of Latvia in search
Preforming immigration control in Viļakas county Šķilbēnu parish detected one Latvian citizen, who is in search of the police. Man was detained and handed over to the State Police officials.
• Entry in to Latvia was denied to 1 foreigner
At Teherovas Border Control Point entry to the country was denied to one Moldavia citizen, because he was subjected to ban entering and staying in the territory of the Schengen area. Person were returned to the country of departure.
• Breach of the stay requirement identified to 6 foreigners
At Grebņevas, Pāternieku and "Riga" airport Border Control Points detected 3 Russian, 1 Belorussian, 1 Ukraine and 1 Uzbekistan citizen which was violated residence regulation in the territory of Schengen area. (Exceeded the stay period indicated in visa, exceeded visa free the duration of stay under the regime)
Immigration control measure inside the country, violations of entry or stay regulations were detected to 7 peoples - 3 Latvian, 2 Moldavia, 1 Russian and one Chinese national.
Within the framework of vehicles and vessels operations, the State Border Guard officials detected offenses committed by 14 peoples - 3 Russian, 3 Latvian, 3 Estonian, 1 Lithuanian, 1 citizen of Macedonia, 1 Kazakhstan and 1 for a British citizen.
