On Thursday, 26 July, officials of the State Border Guard at the external borders and within the country detected 50 offenders.

At the external borders 20 offenders were detected, including:

Detected 2 persons in search

At Terehovas and "Riga" airport Border Control Points detected 1 citizen of Ukraine leaving Latvia and 1 citizen of Latvia going to London , who were in the police search. Both men, born in 1978 and 1986, were detained and handed over to the State Police officials.

Entry into Latvia was denied to 5 foreigners

At Terehovas and Silenes Border Control Points entry to the country was denied to 1 citizen of Tajikistan and 1 citizen of Belorussia as she didn't have valid visas or residence permits; at Pāternieku Border Control Point entry to country was denied to 1 citizen of Ukraine as the foreigner was not able to justify the purpose and conditions of entry and stay and did not have sufficient livelihoods for visiting Schengen countries. Meanwhile at Terehovas Border Control Point and at Salacgrīvas harbor entry to the country was denied to 1 citizen of Moldova and 1 citizen of Ukraine (sailor) as they did have ban to enter and to stay in the territory of Schengen states In regards to the citizen of Ukraine the affirmation from the ship captain was received, that the man, during the ship's stay in Salacgrīvas harbor, will not leave the vessel.

Breach of the stay requirements identified to 4 foreigners:

At Pāternieku and "Riga" airport Border Control Points 2 citizens of Ukraine, 1 of Belorussia and 1 of Kazakhstan were detected who had violated residence regulations in the territory of Schengen states (exceeded the stay period indicated in visa). Persons were subjected to administrative liability

Immigration control measures inside the country, violations of entry or stay regulations were detected to 14 persons - 8 citizens of Lithuania, 2 of Latvia, 2 of Russia, 1 of Ukraine and 1 of Tunisia.

Within the framework of vehicles and vessels operation, the State Border Guard officials detected offenses committed by 16 persons - 5 citizens of Russia, 4 of Latvia, 2 of Belorussia, 2 of Estonia, 1 of Israel, 1 of Ukraine and 1 Azerbaijan.
