Events at the state border and within the country - July 27, 2020

On Monday the 27th of July, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 26 offenders at external borders and within the country.

5 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 citizen of Lithuania, who is on the police wanted list, was detained

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, entered the country from Prague, who is on the Police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1990, was detained and handed over to the State Police Officers.

2 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 holder of a United Kingdom refugee travel document for the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, while at the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus were refused entry into the country, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country. The persons were returned to the exit country.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 1 foreigner

At the Pededze Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), was detected. Administrative sanction was not imposed.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 7 persons - 5 citizens of Lithuania, 1 - of Azerbaijan and 1 - of Latvia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 14 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 8 citizens of Belarus, 3 - of Latvia, 1 - of Germany, 1 - of Gruzia and 1 - of Ukrain.
