On Monday the 30th of July, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 43 offenders at external borders and within the country.

17 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

2 persons with forged documents were detected

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia (woman), entered Latvia from Moscow and presented forged Schengen visa, and 1 citizen of Ukraine (woman) leaving Riga for Kiev with forged Polish border crossing marks, were detained. The Russian citizen was subject to an administrative penalty and returned to the country of departure, while the criminal proceedings were initiated against the Ukrainian citizen due to the established fact, the offender was placed in the State Police temporary detention facility.

10 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Silene, the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 2 citizens of Great Britain, 1 citizen of Belarus and 1 citizen of Russia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, as well as 6 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 2 foreigners

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 citizens of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Russia was not commenced, the other person was subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 10 persons - 5 citizens of Lithuania, 2 - of Estonia, 2 - of Russia and 1 stateless person of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 16 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Latvia, 5 - of Belarus, 3 - of Russia, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Tajikistan and 1 - of Rumania.
