On Tuesday the 31st of July, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 33 offenders at external borders and within the country.

19 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 citizen of Estonia with forged documents was detected

At the Silene Border Control Point 1 citizen of Estonia, who presented forged Estonian driving license, was detected. The criminal proceedings were initiated for use of forged documents. The forged Estonian driving license was seized.

3 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 2 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. While at the Silene Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 2 foreigners

At the Terehova, the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 4 citizens of Russia and 2 citizens of Belarus, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

1 Latvian citizen was refused exit from Latvia

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 minor citizen of Latvia, who was not in possession of notarially certified agreement of the second parent for his independent travelling outside Latvia, was detected.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 6 persons - 3 citizens of Lithuania and 3 - of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 8 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Russia, 3 - of Latvia and 1 - of Belarus.
