On Saturday, June 2, 2018, officials of the State Border Guard of Latvia have detected 45 offenders on both external borders and within the country.
19 trespassers were detected on external borders, including:
• entry to the Republic of Latvia was refused for 6 foreigners:
At "Terehova" and "Paternieki" Border Control Points entry to the Republic of Latvia was refused to 1 citizen of Serbia, as foreigner was not in a possession of valid visa or residence permit, 3 citizens of Ukraine, as persons could not justify purpose and circumstances of their travel and stay in Latvia, as well as they were not in a possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit Schengen countries and 2 citizens of Moldova, as persons have a prohibition to enter and stay in the territory of the Schengen area. Persons were returned to the country of exit.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country, violations of entry of residence were detected to 7 persons - 6 citizens of Lithuania and 1 citizen of Estonia.
Within the framework of vehicles and vessels operation, 19 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Border Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Russia, 3 citizens of Belarus, 3 citizens of Latvia, 2 citizens of Lithuania, 2 citizens of Estonia, 2 citizens of Germany, 1 citizen of Slovenia, 1 citizen of Macedonia and 1 citizen of Azerbaijan.
