On Sunday, June 3, 2018, officials of the State Border Guard of Latvia have detected 44 offenders on both external borders and within the country.
15 trespassers were detected on external borders, including:
• conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen area was violated by 1 foreigner:
At Airport „Riga" Border Control Point 1 citizen of Tajikistan, who has violated conditions of residence of the Schengen area (was not in a possession of valid visa or residence permit) was detected. Person was subject to administrative liability.
• entry to the Republic of Latvia was refused for 9 foreigners:
At „Grebneva" Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia, was refused the right to enter the Republic of Latvia, as person had already used residence limits in the territory of the Schengen area, at „Pāternieki" Border Control Point right to enter the Republic of Latvia was refused to 8 citizens of Ukraine, as persons could not justify purpose and circumstances of their stay in Latvia, as well as persons were not in a possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit Schengen countries. Persons were returned to the country of exit.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country, violations of entry of residence were detected to 12 persons - 6 citizens of Estonia, 5 citizens of Lithuania and 1 citizen of Russia.
Within the framework of vehicles and vessels operation, 17 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Border Guard of Latvia - 10 citizens of Russia, 4 citizens of Belarus, 2 citizens of Lithuania and 1 citizen of Latvia.
