On Tuesday, June 5, 2018, officials of the State Border Guard of Latvia have detected 32 offenders on both external borders and within the country.

17 trespassers were detected on external borders, including:

• entry to the Republic of Latvia was refused for 6 foreigners:

At Airport "Riga", "Paternieki", "Terehova" and "Silene" Border Control Points right to enter the Republic of Latvia was refused to 2 citizens of Belarus, 1 citizen of Kazakhstan and 1 citizen of Indonesia, as persons were not in a possession of valid visa or residence permit, 1 citizen of Ukraine, as person could not justify purpose and circumstances of stay in Latvia, as well as person was not in a possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit Schengen countries, 1 citizen of Moldova, as person has a prohibition to enter and stay in the territory of the Schengen area. All persons were returned to the country of exit.

• conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen area was violated by 3 foreigners:

At Airport "Riga" Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia, 1 citizen of Georgia and 1 citizen of Uzbekistan, who have violated conditions of residence of the Schengen area (was not in a possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the duration of stay of the visa) were detected. Due to the insignificant nature of the offenses, administrative proceedings were not initiated.

• exit from the Republic of Latvia was refused to 1 citizen of Latvia:

At Airport "Riga" Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, travelling to Doncaster without valid travel document, was detected. Person was refused the right to travel outside the Republic of Latvia.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country, violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 6 persons - 4 citizens of Lithuania, 1 citizen of Russia and 1 citizen of Ukraine.

Within the framework of vehicles and vessels operation, 9 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Border Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Russia, 2 citizens of Lithuania, 2 citizens of Latvia, 2 citizens of Estonia, 1 citizen of Ukraine and 1 citizen of Belarus.
