Events at the state border and within the country - June 05, 2020

On Friday the 5th of June, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 16 offenders at external borders and within the country.

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

At the Grebņeva and the Silene Border Control Points 1 citizen of Iran and 3 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa free regime), were detected. Administrative sanction was not imposed on the citizens of Ukraine, the citizen of Iran was subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 1 citizen of Lithuania.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 6 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Latvia, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of the Czech Republic and 1 - of Estonia.
