On Wednesday, June 6, 2018, officials of the State Border Guard of the Republic of Latvia have detected 43 offenders on both external borders and within the country.
19 trespassers were detected on external borders, including:
• entry to the Republic of Latvia was refused for 5 foreigners:
At Airport „Riga", „Paternieki" and „Silene" Border Control Points 4 citizens of Ukraine and 1 citizen of Armenia were refused the right to enter the Republic of Latvia, as persons could not justify purpose and circumstances of their travel and stay in Latvia, as well, citizens of Ukraine did not have sufficient means of subsistence to visit Schengen countries. Persons were returned to the country of exit.
• conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen area were violated by 3 foreigners:
At "Terehova" and "Paternieki" Border Control Points 2 citizens of Ukraine and 1 citizen of Russia, who have violated conditions of the residence of the Schengen area (were not in a possession of valid visas or residence permits, exceeded the duration of stay of the visa) were detected. Persons were subjects to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country, violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 7 persons - 2 citizens of Russia, 1 citizen of Latvia, 1 citizen of Lithuania, 1 citizen of Estonia, 1 citizen of Turkey and 1 citizen of China.
Within the framework of vehicles and vessels operation, 17 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Border Guard of Latvia - 7 citizens of Latvia, 4 citizens of Russia, 2 citizens of Belarus, 1 citizen of Lithuania, 1 citizen of Estonia, 1 citizen of Kyrgyzstan and 1 citizen of Azerbaijan.
