On Thursday, June 7, 2018, officials of the State Border Guard have detected 38 offenders on both external borders and within the country.

17 trespassers were detected on external borders, including:

• entry to the Republic of Latvia was refused for 3 foreigners:

At „Pāternieki" Border Control Point 3 citizens of Ukraine were refused the right to enter the Republic of Latvia, as persons could not justify purpose and circumstances of their travel and stay, as well as they were not in a possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit Schengen countries. Persons were returned to the country of exit.

• the right to exit the Republic of Latvia was refused for 1 citizen of Latvia:

At Airport „Riga" Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, who was willing to travel to Dublin without valid travel document, was detected. Person, born in 1994, was refused a right to exit the Republic of Latvia.

• conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen area was violated by 3 foreigners:

At „Zilupe" and „Pāternieki" Border Control Points 2 citizens of Belarus and 1 citizen of Russia, who have violated conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen area (exceeded the duration of stay of the visa) were detected. Persons are subjects to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country, violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 13 persons - 4 citizens of Ukraine, 3 citizens of Russia, 1 citizen of Latvia, 1 citizen of Lithuania, 1 citizen of Estonia, 1 citizen of Belarus, 1 citizen of Georgia and 1 citizen of China.


Within the framework of vehicles and vessels operation, 8 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Border Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Russia, 1 citizens of Lithuania, 2 citizens of Latvia and 1 citizen of Moldova.
