On Friday, June 8, 2018, officials of the State Border Guard of the Republic of Latvia have detected 37 offenders on both external borders and within the country.
14 trespassers were detected on external borders, including:
• entry to the Republic of Latvia was refused to 1 person:
At "Pāternieki" Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus was refused the right to enter to the Republic of Latvia, as persons was not in a possession of valid visa or residence permit. Person was returned to the country of exit.
• conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen area was violated by 6 foreigners:
At "Riga" Border Control Point 3 citizens of Kazakhstan, 2 citizens of Russia and 1 citizen of Ukraine, who have violated conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen area (exceeded duration of stay of visa), were detected. Citizen of Ukraine is subject to administrative liability, in other cases administrative proceedings were not initiated, due to the insignificance of the infringement.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country, violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 8 persons - 3 citizens of Estonia, 2 citizens of Lithuania, 2 citizens of Russia and 1 citizen of Latvia.
Within the framework of vehicles and vessels operation, 15 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Border Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Latvia, 4 citizens of Belarus, 3 citizens of Russia, 2 citizens of Estonia, 1 citizen of Germany and 1 citizen of Ukraine.
