Events at the state border and within the country - June 08, 2020

On Monday the 8th of June, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 17 offenders at external borders and within the country.

12 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 foreigner with forged documents was detected

At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 leaving Latvia citizen of Russia, who presented to border guards a forged Lithuanian International Vehicle Insurance Policy, was detected. The person was subject to administrative liability.

4 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Silene Border Control Point 3 citizens of Russia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit; as well as 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 4 foreigners

At the Terehova and the Silene Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia, 1 - of Moldova and 2 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa free regime), were detected. Administrative sanction was not imposed.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 2 citizens of Lithuania.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 3 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 2 citizens of Latvia and 1 - of Lithuania.
