On Saturday, June 9, 2018, officials of the State Border Guard of the Republic of Latvia have detected 42 offenders on both external border and within the country.

16 trespassers were detected on external border, including:

• 1 citizen of Uruguay with forged documents was detected:

At „Terehova" Border Control Point 1 citizen of Uruguay, who was travelling out of the Republic of Latvia with fraud driver's license of Peru, was detected. Criminal proceedings against person for use of forged document was started.

• entry to the Republic of Latvia was refused for 5 foreigners:

At Airport "Riga" and "Silene" Border Control Points, entry to the Republic of Latvia was refused for 2 citizens of Belarus and 1 citizen of Philippines, as persons were not in a possession of valid visas or residence permits, at "Pāternieki" Border Control Point 2 citizens of Ukraine were refused the right to enter the Republic of Latvia, as persons could not justify purpose and circumstances of their stay, as well as persons were not in a possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit Schengen countries. Persons were returned to the country of exit.

• conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen area was violated by 4 foreigners:

At "Grebņeva" and Airport "Riga" Border Control Points 1 citizen of Ukraine, 1 citizen of Kazakhstan, 1 citizen of India and 1 citizen of USA, who have violated conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen area (were not in a possession of valid visas or residence permits, exceeded duration of stay of the visa) were detected. Citizens of Kazakhstan and USA are subjects to administrative liability, in other cases administrative proceedings were not started due to the insignificance of the infringement.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country, violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 8 persons - 7 citizens of Lithuania and 1 citizen of Ukraine.

Within the framework of vehicles and vessels operation, 18 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Border Guard of Latvia - 6 citizens of Russia, 5 citizens of Latvia, 2 citizens of Lithuania, 2 citizens of Belarus, 1 citizen of Tajikistan, 1 citizen of Uzbekistan and 1 citizen of Estonia.
