On Monday, June 11, 2018, officials of the State Border Guard of the Republic of Latvia have detected 37 offenders on both external borders and within the country.

14 trespassers were detected on external borders, including:

• 2 persons, who are on the wanted-list, were detained:

At Airport "Riga" Border Control Point, 2 citizens of Latvia traveling from London, who were on the State Police's wanted-list, were detected. Persons born in 1974 and in 1993, were detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

• entry to the Republic of Latvia was refused for 2 foreigners:

At "Paternieki" Border Control Point the right to enter the Republic of Latvia was refused for 2 citizens of Ukraine and 1 citizen of Russia, as persons could not justify purpose and circumstances of their travel and stay in Latvia, as well as both citizens of Ukraine were not in a possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit Schengen countries. Persons were returned to the country of exit.

• conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen area was violated by 1 foreigner"

At "Terehova" and "Pāternieku" Border Control Points 3 citizens of Russia and 1 citizen of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay of visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 6 persons - 4 citizens of Russia, 1 citizen of Pakistan and 1 of Lithuania.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 17 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 8 citizens of Russia, 3 citizens of Belarus, 2 citizens of Lithuania, 1 citizen of Kazakhstan, 1 citizen of Germany, 1 citizen of Ukraine and 1 citizens of Macedonia.
