On Wednesday, June 13, 2018, officials of the State Border Guard of the Republic of Latvia have detected 66 offenders on both external borders and within the country.

36 trespassers were detected on external borders, including:

• entry to the Republic of Latvia was refused for 10 foreigners:

At "Terehova" Border Control Point the right to enter the Republic of Latvia was refused to three citizens of Senegal, two citizens of Kazakhstan and one citizen of Russia, at Airport "Riga" and "Silene" Border Control Points the right to enter the Republic of Latvia was refused to one citizen of Kazakhstan, one citizen of Azerbaijan, one citizen of Moldova, one citizen of Ukraine, as persons could not justify purpose and circumstances of their travel and stay in Latvia, additionally, citizens of Moldova and Ukraine were not in a possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit Schengen countries. Persons were returned to the country of exit.

• exit from the Republic of Latvia was refused to 2 Latvian nationals:

At "Terehova" Border Control Point 1 non - citizen of Latvia, who was planning to travel to Russia, without valid travel document, was detected, at the same time at Airport "Riga" Border Control Point one minor citizen of Latvia, who, while traveling with his father - citizen of Ukraine, did not have second parent's notarized consent to leave the country, was detected. Both, person born in 1930 and person born in 2012 were refused the right to exit the Republic of Latvia.

• conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen area were violated by 4 foreigners:

At "Grebņeva", "Silene", "Zilupe" and Airport "Riga" Border Control Points 2 citizens of Russia, 1 citizen of Ukraine and 1 citizen of Moldova, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay of visa, were detected. Persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 18 persons - 6 citizens of Lithuania, 5 citizens of Russia, 4 citizens of India, 2 citizens of Estonia, and 1 citizen of Latvia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 12 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Lithuania, 3 citizens of Russia, 2 citizens of Belarus, 2 citizens of Latvia, 1 citizens of Ukraine and 1 citizen of Poland.
