On Thursday, June 14, 2018, officials of the State Border Guard of the Republic of Latvia have detected 40 offenders on both external borders and within the country.
18 trespassers were detected on external borders, including:
• entry to the Republic of Latvia was refused for 3 foreigners:
At "Grebneva" Border Control Point the right to enter the Republic of Latvia was refused to 1 citizen of Russia, was not in a possession of valid visa or residence permit, as well at Airport "Riga" Border Control Point the right to enter the Republic of Latvia was refused to 2 citizens of Ukraine , as persons could not justify purpose and circumstances of their travel and stay in Latvia, moreover both citizens of Ukraine were not in a possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit Schengen countries. Persons were returned to the country of exit.
• conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen area was violated by 6 foreigners:
At "Terehova", "Silene" and Airport "Riga" Border Control Points 2 citizens of India, 2 citizens of Ukraine ,1 citizen of Kazahstan, and 1 citizen of Belarus who have violated conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen area (were not in a possession of valid visas or residence permits, exceeded duration of stay of visa) were detected. Persons were subjects of administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 9 persons - 3 citizens of Lithuania, 2 citizens of Estonia, 2 citizens of Russia, 1 citizen of Belarus and 1 citizen of Latvia.
Within the framework of vehicles and vessels operation, 13 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Border Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Russia, 2 citizens of Uzbekistan, 1 citizen of Latvia, 1 citizen of Lithuania, 1 citizen of Belarus, 1 citizen of Poland, 1 citizen of Netherland, 1 citizen of Moldova, 1 citizen of Peru and 1 citizen of Germany.
