On Friday, June 15, 2018, officials of the State Border Guard of the Republic of Latvia have detected 64 offenders on both external borders and within the country.
35 trespassers were detected on external borders, including:
• entry to the Republic of Latvia was refused for 2 foreigners:
At "Terehova" Border Control Point, 2 citizens of Tunisia were refused the right to enter the Republic of Latvia as persons were not in a possession of valid visas or residence permits. Persons were returned to the country of exit.
• conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen area were violated by 2 foreigners:
At Airport "Riga" Border Control Point 2 citizens of Uzbekistan, who have violated conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen area (were not in a possession of valid visas or residence permits, exceeded duration of stay of visa) were detected. In case of 1 citizen Uzbekistan of administrative proceedings were not initiated, due to the insignificance of the infringement, other citizen of Uzbekistan was subject of administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country, violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 12 persons - 6 citizens of Lithuania, 2 citizens of Russia, 2 citizens of Estonia and 2 citizens of Ukraine.
Within the framework of vehicles and vessels operation, 17 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Border Guard of Latvia - 6 citizens of Belarus, 4 citizens of Latvia, 3 citizens of Lithuania, 1 citizen of Estonia, 1 citizen of Kyrgyzstan,1 citizen of Serbia and 1 citizen of Germany.
