Events at the state border and within the country - June 15, 2019

On Saturday the 15th of June, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 55 offenders at external borders and within the country.

32 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 foreigner with forged documents was detected

At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Uzbekistan entered Latvia by truck with trailer, who presented forged German Vehicle Insurance Policy, was detected. The forged document was seized.

1 citizen of Belarus, who is on the police wanted list, was detained

At the Port of Ventspils 1 citizen of Belarus entered Latvia from Sweden, who is on the Police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1982, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

12 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova and the Silene Border Control Points 7 citizens of Tajikistan, 1 - of Russia and 3 - of Belarus were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and he was not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 7 foreigners

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 6 citizens of Russia and 1 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 4 citizens of Russia was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 minor citizen of Latvia, who was not in possession of at least one parent's agreement for her independent travelling outside Latvia, was detected. The person was refused exit from Latvia.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 5 persons - 4 citizens of Lithuania and 1 - of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 18 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 6 citizens of Belarus, 4 - of Russia, 4 - of Latvia, 1 - of USA, 1 - of Italy, 1 - of German and 1 - of Serbia.
