On Sunday, June 17, 2018, the State Border Guard officials detected 45 offenders at the external borders and within the country.

24 trespassers were detected on external borders, including:

• 1 citizen of Latvia, who is on the wanted-list, was detained:

At Airport "Riga" Border Control Point, 1 citizen of Latvia traveling from London, who was on the State Police's wanted-list, was detected. Person born in 1985, was arrested and handed over to officials of State Police.

• Entry to the Republic of Latvia was refused to 1 foreigner:

At "Pāternieki" Border Control Point right to enter the Republic of Latvia was refused to 1 citizen of Ukraine as person was not in a possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit Schengen countries. Person was returned to the country of exit.

• Conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen area were violated by 8 foreigners:

At Terehova and Airport "Riga" Border Control Points 6 citizens of Russia, 1 citizen of Tunisia and 1 citizen of Ukraine who have violated conditions of the residence of the Schengen area (were not in a possession of valid visas or residence permits), were detected. In case of 2 citizens of Russia, 1 citizen of Tunisia and 1 citizen of Ukraine administrative proceedings were not initiated, due to the insignificance of the infringement, in other cases persons were subjects to administrative liability.

• exit from the Republic of Latvia was refused to 1 citizen of Latvia:

At "Terehova" Border Control Point 1 minor citizen of Latvia, without notarized consent of her parents for exiting the country, was detected. Person was refused from the right to leave the country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country, violations of entry of residence were detected to 5 persons - 3 citizens of Estonia, 1 citizen of Denmark, 1 citizen of Lithuania.

Within the framework of vehicles and vessels operation, 16 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Border Guard of Latvia - 8 citizens of Latvia, 6 citizens of Belarus and 2 citizens of Russia.
