On Monday, June 18, 2018, the State Border Guard officials identified 43 offenders at the external borders and within the country.
23 trespassers were detected on external borders, including:
• entry to the Republic of Latvia was refused for 5 foreigners:
At Airport "Riga" Border Control Point, entry to the Republic of Latvia was refused for 1 citizen of South Africa, as person was not in a possession of valid visa or residence permit, as well, at "Paternieki" Border Control Point entry to the Republic of Latvia was refused for 3 citizens of Ukraine, as persons were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit Schengen countries, at "Terehova" Border Control Point entry to the Republic of Latvia was refused to 1 citizen of Moldova as person has a prohibition to travel or stay in the territory of the Schengen area. Persons were returned to the country of exit.
• conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen area were violated by 6 foreigners:
At "Zilupe", "Silene" and Airport "Riga" Border Control Points 2 citizens of Russia and 2 citizens of Kazakhstan, and 1 citizen of Turkmenistan who have violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay of visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 2 citizens of Russia and 2 citizens of Kazakhstan was not initiated, other persons were subjects to administrative liability.
• exit from the Republic of Latvia was refused to 3 citizens of Latvia:
At Airport "Riga" Border Control Point 3 citizens of Latvia, without valid travel documents, were detected. Persons were refused from the right to exit the country.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country, violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 5 persons - 2 citizens of Russia, 2 citizens of Estonia, and 1 citizen of Israel.
Within the framework of vehicles and vessels operation, 15 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Border Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Russia,3 citizens of Belarus, 3 citizens of Latvia, 3 citizens of Poland, 2 citizens of Estonia,1 citizen of Ukraine.
