On Friday the 21st of June, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 42 offenders at external borders and within the country.
22 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
1 foreigner with forged documents was detectedAt the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Peru leaving Latvia by car, who presented forged Peru Driving Licence, was detected. Criminal procedure was initiated for the use of forged documents. The forged document was seized within the framework of criminal procedure.
1 citizen of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detainedWhile carrying out check on list of passengers at the Port of Ventspils 1 citizen of Latvia entered Latvia from Sweden, who is on the Police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1983, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.
8 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Terehova Border Control Point 4 citizens of Russia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 4 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 5 foreignersAt the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Ukraine, 1 - of India, 2 citizens of Egypt and 1 - of Kazakhstan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 5 persons - 1 citizen of Lithuania, 1 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Estonia, 1 - of Uzbekistan and 1 - of Latvia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 15 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 6 citizens of Russia, 4 - of Belarus, 2 - of Latvia, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Uzbekistan and 1 - of German.
