On Saturday the 23rd of June, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 42 offenders at external borders and within the country.
23 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
• 9 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia
At the Grebņeva Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia (female) was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the Pāternieki Border Control Point 8 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
• Violations of resident conditions were detected to 2 foreigners
At the Silene and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia and 1 citizen of Belarus, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, were not in possession of valid visas or residence permits), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 4 persons - 2 citizens of Lithuania, 1 - of Estonia and 1 - of Moldova.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 15 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 7 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Belarus, 1 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Latvia, 1 - of Croatia, 1 - of Poland, 1 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Estonia.
