On Sunday the 23rd of June, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 47 offenders at external borders and within the country.

27 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

3 citizens of Latvia, who are on the police wanted list, were detained

At the Port of Liepaja, the Port of Ventspils and the Riga Passenger Port 1 citizen of Latvia entered Latvia by ferry from Germany and 2 citizens of Latvia entered the country by ferry from Sweden, who are on the Police wanted list, were detected. The men, born in 1971, 1987 and 1986, were detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

7 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Grebņeva Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia (female) was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the Terehova Control Point 6 citizens of Russia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid travel document. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 6 foreigners

At the Terehova and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 3 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Georgia and 1 - of Kirgizstan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Russia was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 3 citizens of Lithuania.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 17 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Russia, 4 - of Latvia, 4 - of Belarus, 1 - of Moldova, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Tajikistan and 1 - of Azerbaijan.
