Events at the state border and within the country - June 24, 2020

On Wednesday the 24th of June, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 10 offenders at external borders and within the country.

7 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 citizen of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detained

At the Port of Ventspils, while carrying out a check of the passenger list 1 citizen of Latvia, entered the country from Sweden, who is on the Police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1990, was detained and handed over to the State Police Officers.

1 foreigner was refused entry into Latvia

At the Silene Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. The person was returned to the exit country.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 2 foreigners

At the Terehova Border Control Point 2 citizens of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Administrative sanction was not imposed.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 3 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 2 citizens of Belarus and 1 - of Lithuania.
