Events at the state border and within the country - June 25, 2020

On Thursday the 25th of June, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 7 offenders at external borders and within the country.

5 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 citizen of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detained

At the Port of Liepaja, while carrying out a check of the passenger list 1 citizen of Latvia, entered the country from German, who is on the Police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1990, was detained and handed over to the State Police Officers.

1 foreigner was refused entry into Latvia

At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country. The person was returned to the exit country.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 2 foreigners

At the Terehova and Pāternieki Border Control Points 1 citizen of Azerbaijan and 1 - of Belarus, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Administrative sanction was not imposed.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 2 persons - 1 citizen of Lithuania and 1 - of Estonia.
